A voluntary agreement insisted that properties west of Dunham Road be zoned for single family residences of at least four acres. Dunham Castle, also known as Oaklawn Farm, was a thriving horse farm and boarding stables until a portion of the land was divided into numerous residential properties. This area is recognized as a National Historic District and includes the Dunham Woods Riding Club.
